Our Terms and Conditions
All pricing and transactions on this website are stated in Australian Dollars (AUD).
Donations can be made in the form of one-off donations, regular donations, or bequests. The Social Flourishing Institute (SFI) will determine how funds are allocated within its support services. While we endeavor to direct designated donations to specific projects, SFI reserves the right to allocate funds where they are most needed within our mission. In-kind donations of services, equipment, or other materials will be distributed as determined by SFI.
SFI provides official receipts for approved donations of $2.00 or more. Single-gift donors receive a receipt for each donation, while regular donors receive receipts according to their selected schedule (e.g., monthly donations generate monthly receipts). While we accept anonymous donations, we cannot issue tax-deductible receipts for anonymous contributions.
Our website uses a secure donation server for online transactions. However, please be aware that there are inherent risks in transferring information over the internet.
Privacy Policy
1. In this Privacy Policy (Policy), the terms "SFI", "we", "us" or "our" refer to Centre for Building Better Community Ltd (ABN 15 628 753 088).
2. We are committed to protecting personal information we collect from you in accordance with all legal requirements, including but not limited to the Australian Privacy Principles (APP) and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act).
3. We collect personal information that is necessary for us to perform and provide our services as a not-for-profit organisation, to develop and promote our services and to assist us with complying with all applicable legal and regulatory obligations and to operate our charity generally.

By giving your personal information to us, you consent to us disclosing this personal information to third parties for any purpose related to purposes set out in this Policy. Please note that we also must comply with obligations under certain laws, including anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism legislation. Such laws do not permit us to disclose what information we are obliged to disclose or that we have disclosed it.
7. We will use your relevant personal information for the purpose of marketing our services. If you do not want to receive marketing material from us, you may unsubscribe from our mailing lists at any time by contacting us in writing or using the opt out link at the bottom of any of our communications.
8. We may store, process or back up your personal information on servers that are located overseas (including through third party service providers). Your personal information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. When your personal information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your personal information. However, most of the personal information is, or will be, stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.
9. We use "cookies" and other software tools to track your use of our website. Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser in your computer's memory and they are used to record how you navigate our website on each visit. Cookies and other tools that are used in any part of our website will be used for our internal management purposes, including collating statistics regarding website traffic. Please be aware that the internet is not a secure environment and when you provide us with information over the internet you do so at your own risk. 11. You have the right to access and review your personal information held by us, subject to exceptions provided by law, including our obligations to preserve information. If you wish to access your personal information, please contact us in writing. CBBC will not charge any fee for your access request. In order to protect your personal information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

Donation Refund Policy
The Social Flourishing Institute (SFI) accepts all donations in good faith. While we understand that everyone has different preferences regarding donations, we will not refund a donation or event ticket purchase that has been knowingly and voluntarily given to us.
Once you have donated to SFI, we cannot give refunds if you change your mind. For this reason, we ask that you make your decision to donate carefully.
We will consider refunds in the following circumstances:
- If there was an error made by SFI our representatives, or our financial institution
- If the donor entered the wrong amount
- If there are exceptional circumstances
You have up to 30 days to notify SFI of any errors and request a refund in writing.

To assist with processing your refund, please include the following details from your original donation:
- Your full name (or the name used on your credit card)
- The donation date
- The donation amount
- Your receipt number
- The nature of the error made
SFI will review your refund request and notify you of the outcome.

- A new receipt will be issued (where applicable)
- You should securely destroy the original receipt
- It is your responsibility to submit only correct receipts to the Australian Tax Office
- SFI reserves the right to deduct any bank fees, transaction charges, or processing fees from the refunded amount
- Refund requests received more than 30 days after the transaction cannot be processed
- Donations can only be refunded to the same account and by the payment method used for the original donation
- For errors made by SFI, our financial institution(s), platform partners, or suppliers, a full refund will be made immediately upon notification and investigation, with processing costs borne by us.
